Innovative Georgia Tech K12 InVenture Prize Lead Teacher Garners National Recognition
Julia Varnedoe, Gifted Education Specialist at Mount Bethel Elementary School, was selected as a Grand Prize Winner of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation Teacher Innovator Awards sponsored by Raytheon Technologies. Varnedoe was 1 out of 10 Grand Prize winners and was the sole winner from the state of Georgia.

Georgia Tech’s K-12 InVenture Prize State Finals held on March 11th, 2020, featured 98 teams of K-12 student entrepreneurs from across Georgia. The competition resembles the Georgia Tech InVenture Prize. It encourages elementary, middle, and high school students to present projects that identify real-world problems and design unique solutions.
