Our lesson plans are designed to help teachers mentor their students through an invention process. The curriculum is not required; it is completely flexible. We hope you find it helpful!
Our high school curriculum was originally authored by high school science teachers and is aligned with Georgia standards in Science, Math, STEM, and even Language arts.
Our grade school curriculum was originally authored by elementary school teachers in Cobb County for their gifted 4th and 5th grade classes. They have shared it with Georgia Tech so that all may benefit from it.
We have also been provided an InVentor's log book and K-12 InVenture Rubric to share. This provides an approximate timeline and some guidance. Keep in mind that although the K-12 InVenture Prize does NOT require a log book, the National Invention Competition (NIC) does.
Are you a new to InVenture or a prospective teacher looking to implement a new school competition? We've compiled a short Host Your Own Competition packet to help planning and brainstorming. Please attend a Teacher Workshop to meet the K-12 InVenture Team and other InVenture Teachers as we go through the curriculum and competitions!
